Through the Arts Adventure program, students are exposed to local cultural events.

The
current applicant pool is both smaller and of higher quality
than in 1990-91. Today we accept fewer than 60 percent of
applicants to their first-choice program.

Improved
Financial Aid Process
The
bursar’s and financial aid offices jointly implemented an automated student
loan system that significantly increases the efficiency of the University’s
loan processing.
The Arts
Adventure Program
Inaugurated
in 1994, this initiative is a collaboration between the College of Visual and
Performing Arts and the Office of Student Affairs. The program offers students
discounted tickets and free transportation to more than 300 cultural events
on and off campus each year. First-year students are required to participate
through a special student fee arrangement; all students are eligible to join
the program throughout their time on campus. The program won the 1997 New York
State Governor’s Arts Award.
New
Alcohol-Free Opportunities
Offerings
and activities include the Perc Place campus coffeehouse, the
Tennity Ice Skating Pavilion, Late Night at the Gym, the First-Year
Semiformal, the Annual Great College Drive-in Movie, ski trips,
and fitness center and wellness programs.

The
growing reputation of the University is demonstrated by
the increase in the percent of accepted students who enroll.
