Orange Ride

Bob Kramer ’65 sits in his 1972 Wagoneer described as “Butterscotch Gold” by Jeep. “But we know better,” Kramer says. The vehicle gives him Orange pride and is particularly meaningful because it was left to him by his uncle, who passed away two years ago at age 99. The same uncle helped Kramer cover his tuition at SU, and he says they often discussed the Jeep. “I’m certain the ‘Orange’ was the furthest thing from his mind when he bought it,” says Kramer, a Newhouse School graduate who has spent his entire professional career in advertising and is currently manager of the editorial team in marketing at Prudential Group Insurance in Roseland, New Jersey.

Now, the vehicle serves as a great reminder of both his times at SU and his loving uncle.
