Alumni Reflections

William P. Thompson ’53, G’56, G’68 is retired and lives in Vero Beach, Florida. He was a triple major as an undergraduate at SU, and earned a master’s degree in speech education and a doctoral degree in instructional technology from the School of Education. A faculty member at Corning (New York) Community College for 33 years before retiring, he taught broadcasting, music, directed the chorus, served as a drama advisor, and built a radio station there. He is the author of Focus on Excellence: Corning Community College–A Half-Century of Educational Service, 1957– 2007, and continues to pursue writing projects.
